Projects for Change

DMV independent school students have been working diligently with CONNECTdmv to create and organize a reimagined, four-month student engagement program, Projects for Change (“PfC”). It is truly “by students, for students.” This educational partnership with CONNECTdmv’s 16 Member Schools will launch at American University on January 25, 2025, starting with the inaugural Student Engagement Summit.  At this day-long event, each school team will have the opportunity to share experiences, ideas, and energy with other students across the DMV, focusing on how students can find opportunities to enhance their school communities.  After the Summit, PfC will continue into the spring with a dedicated mentoring program for each school team, culminating in a student pitch to their own school’s administrators. Projects for Change’s mission is “to equip a community of student changemakers with the social entrepreneurship skills to create supported, consistent, actionable growth in our school communities.”

If you are a student who wants to be considered for this important program, then please apply here.
